Compared to other cities in the mainland, Jeju citizens, especially those in their twenties, have little opportunity to dabble in culture and the arts.

First, in Old-Jeju, a performance venue named Art Spot Oee, which runs as a cafe during the day and as a pub at night with the basement used as a little theater. The theater troupe usually covers topics of everyday happenings and social satire. Oee also offers art exhibitions in the cafe. Ticket for plays usually costs 10,000 won. Second, university students can join ‘Sang Sang Atelier’, which is an art activity & class run by Sang Sang Univ., a student program supported by KT&G. It is only open for university students and offers actual variety of classes such as bartending, calligraphy, dance, bowling, and much more. Lastly, Arario Museum Jeju is located in Tapdong-ri as a vivid red color landmark.

This art & performance museum displays quality visual artworks and sometimes provides special performances and concerts. There is also a cafeteria, art shop, cinema, and restaurant. A student ticket is around 12,000 won but luckily, there is a 50% discount for Jeju inhabitants.
