From November 17 to 18, Jeju-NU Political Science and Diplomacy held the 10th Jeju-NU Model United Nations Conference. This Model United Nations(MUN) have took place annually for university students in Jeju.

The Jeju-NU MUN was the annual event of Political Science and Diplomacy students. However, this competition has extended their participants from Jeu-NU to whole college students in Jeju Island.

This year, this event took place in Ara Convention Hall as a two day conference. Since many MUNs were started in Korea, Jeju-NU also introduced and supported this MUN for education of global leaders. Before the conference started, participants learned about UN and the procedure of meetings.

There was lots of time to discuss and search for the agenda, UN’s role in implementing of the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs). Students participated as a delegate pair or observers in this conference. There were prizes for 3 teams with Jeju-NU presidential prize and 300,000won. Also, the 1st winner team got qualification for nation-wide competition.

In every MUN, there is a special point as compared with other competitions. Participants must not only focus on their assigned nations, but also be careful of diplomatic concord with other teams. Based on this aspect, the teams can speak their opinions or needs more strongly. With this special point, MUN is famous for students who desire international course after graduation of school.
