Festival du film français de Jeju was held six days from November 7 to 12. This festival showcased French films that are difficult to view on Jeju Island. The 8th Jeju International Film Festival consists of feature films and short films. 16 feature films were divided into four sections. There were Different faces of France, Different names of love, Artists ' portraits, and With my family. In addition, with these categories, the short program consisted of two sections for adults and one for children.

This French film festival was held in the film Culture Arts Center during six days.

People enjoyed various genres such as drama, comedy, documentary, animations, etc. Among them, ‘Franz’ and ‘Annunzy Day’ were chosen to mark the historic meaning of the 70-year anniversary of the Jeju 4.3 tragedy in 2018. Specifically a short film program was selected for the first time in Korea.

Two film directors from Jeju participated in the Film Festival. Director Moon Sook-Hee and Kim Hee-Chul introduced the movie, and shared a story with the audience.

At the opening ceremony of the French film festival, Ko Young-Lim, the director of the French film festival, said “I want to share with Jeju residents”. Also, a delegate of France in Korea, Jean-Christoff Flory, said “We are pleased to announce that it is not only the beginning of the Jeju France Film Festival, but also what people can enjoy with the Jeju Film Festival, which has been established as a celebration of the arrival of the Korean Cinema Festival.”

All of the events were free. If a person had more than 10 viewing stamps in their Pamphlet, the host gave them some gifts at the closing ceremony. This film festival was held in the film Culture Arts Center, Megabox in Jeju, and Pungn-ryu.
