My name is Duurenjargal Myagmar, I was born and grew up in Mongolia. I lived in Jeju Island for 2 years and did my Master's at Jeju National University. Living on the Island was one of my dreams and now I can say dreams came true. Fascinating to see how time flies. I remember that when I came to this Island, it was rainy and late at night. The next day, I saw the view out of the windows and I believed that the morning sun was shining the same as my brightly new life in Jeju. And yes, it was.

In this article, I would like to share several things that I love about Jeju. The thing which fascinated me the most about was the "Beautiful Cafes". Cafes in Korea, uniquely in Jeju Island are at another level especially when it comes to the excellent menu choices that cater to a variety of tastes, aesthetic sense, and a peaceful environment. A very clean and homely café on the beachfront and big windows with stunning views even in the middle of the forests will make you feel amazing. The prices are "very affordable" too. You can enjoy one cup of coffee with yummy dessert at a price of around 10,000 won. Most of the cafes here remain open till 11 pm. So you can stay there and enjoy all the facilities available. However, cafes could be overcrowded with students on the examination days.

Since I came here, I have been experiencing many things on Jeju Island, such as some cultural activities, events, and festivals organized by JNU which I enjoyed very much. These activities always allow me to meet new people and discover new things. Although, all the events are delayed because of the Corona virus this year. I hope is the situation will end soon and daily life at the campus will be normal again.

I am so grateful that I met amazing people here. I have met many interesting foreign friends and Mongolian friends too. As a KGSP student, I met incredible people around who got the same scholarship as well.

I feel that my campus is beautiful. Even when classes are stressful, there is a beautiful campus that sparks happiness at random moments. When I feel sad, I just go out and take a walk around the campus which makes me feel much better and fresh.

Studying for a Master's degree was different and more difficult for me than the undergraduate program, especially for the scientific field. I did experiments t h a t m a d e m e g o t o t h e laboratory every day except Sunday. However, it was one of the best moments ever in my life no matter how hard it was. All those difficulties and enjoying moments filled my memories to becoming me. And I would love to say “Thank you” to all the people and moments that came to my life in JNU.
