In January and February, the JNU General Student Council ‘Wave’ carried out some of their promises: 7 out of 39 proposals were completed or maintained.

The 39 proposals are categorized into eight themes: Jeju April 3rd Massacre, COVID-19 countermeasures, student rights, facility improvement, culture, etc. So far, COVID-19 category and communication category show the most significant fulfillment rate.

In January, Wave created a hotline for COVID-19 complaints and the Division of School Affairs. They also published the details of their budget and made reports on accounts. Finally, they began having regular meetings with Handicapped Students’ Rights Task Force, which is held once a month.

In February, they provided human rights education for independent student organizations. Especially, they finished remodeling the first floor of Student Union Hall, installing study-room style desks and chairs where students can read books or work on laptops, and there are sockets where they can plug in. They are working on more facility improvements.
