In the 6th century B.C, the oldest book about sexual love, named "Kamasutra" was published in India. Kama means sexual love between man and woman, so "Kamasutra" is a study of sexual love. The public might think it is a porno book from India, but this book was written for the aristocracy of India and helped them to build sexual knowledge. Thus, sexual relationship was very important from the time we stepped onto the earth. However, as time goes by, having sexual relations has come to be considered lightly, that is to pursue only pleasures. On this account, problems such as unwanted pregnancy, abortion, and venereal disease are increasing everyday. Now, contraception training must be essential to prevent the problems caused by immature sexual awareness and to create a wholesome sexual culture.

Mostly, we think that pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare are the responsibility of women. Thus, if a woman becomes pregnant against her will, people think the woman doesn't control herself. This is wrong, because both men and women should use contraceptives to prevent unwanted results in a responsible sexual relationship.

Contraception can be divided into utensil contraception, natural contraception and medicine contraception. A condom is the representative of the utensil contraception. It is generally used by men. However, the purpose of a condom is to prevent venereal diseases, such as gonorrhea. The strong point of using a condom is that it can be purchased everywhere without doctors' instruction. Also, its failure rate is only 12%, so condoms can prevent venereal diseases, including AIDS, brought out by sexual reaction. The user should be aware that a condom cannot be reused. Furthermore, users should be careful not to get air in a condom while wearing it and not to rip it with fingernails and rings. Some people wear two condoms to prevent them from getting torn. In this case, it may slip off easily, so users should wear only one at a time. Last of all, users should make sure to check the expiration date because the quality can be changed.

 -How to wear a condom-
1. Wear a new condom each time when you have sexual relations and check whether it is torn or not.
2. Wear a condom before the penis approaches near the vagina.
3. Before erection is completely over, grab the end of the condom and pull it off.
4. Check the condom again after sexual relations.
5. Avoid using vaseline as a lubricant on the surface of a condom because it can be harmful to the vagina. Use a soluble water jelly.

Femidom called a condom for ladies is utensil contraception. It prevents sperm from entering the vagina and AIDS and other venereal diseases because it wraps inside a vagina with round plastic rings attached to both ends. A condom can be put on when a penis is erect, but femidom can be inserted like a tampon. This contraception is on sale recently, and its demand is increasing day by day. This condom reflects women's sexual will and is expected to brings out a low rate of failure like a condom.

A diaphragm for contraception that most western women used until the 1960s is an accurate contraception after an oral contraceptive pill. It prevents sperm from entering into the cervix or the vagina. The size of the diaphragm is different depending on users, so uses should consult with doctors and choose the size. A diaphragm for contraception can be used several times after being washed, and it is cheat and has no side effects. However, doctors recommend to use it with cream or jelly spermicides because there's a possibility that sperm can enter into the womb through the hoop of the Pessary. Also, you should be careful because it cannot be used during the menstrual period.

Natural contraception doesn't need any equipment. It is the oldest contraception, and may men all over the world use it. It is to withdraw the man's penis from the vagina just before ejaculation during normal sexual intercourse. However, you could have sexual difficulties like premature ejaculation when you do this contraception continually in the long term. Also it is possible for women to become pregnant because sperm can be released a little bit from the Couper's gland.

Rhythm control measure is strictly observing the ovulatory period, so it is officially admitted by Roman Catholicism. It is to predict women's ovulation period and not to have any sexual intercourse during this period. Ovulation always starts 14  day before the next menstrual period, so it is effective for women whose menstrual period is regular. Yet, many women's menstrual periods are irregular and different and it is difficult to calculate the correct ovulation period. Also, because some sperm an survive more than 5 to 6 days in a woman's womb, although people avoid the ovualtion period, is not perfect contraception. There are spermicides and oral pill forms of contraception that prevent pregnancy.

There are foam types, jelly types, cream types and suppository types of spermicide. They kills sperm by breaking the cell wall of sperm and hindering the cells metabolism if it is injected into the vagina just before sexual intercourse. Spermicide is effective contraception and has a food point of killing sperms, bacteria, and viruses reducing venereal infection rates. However, it increases the possibility that you would have a deformed child. Also, you should have sexual intercourse within one hour after injecting spermicide because the effect of the medicine runs out after one hour. Moreover, it could harm to membraces of the vagina and it is difficult in keeping spermicide in summer or a tropical climate.
Oral pills have released us from the fear of being pregnant. These pills are packed by dates or days. One would take one pill everyday for 21days and stop taking it for 7days, then one's menses comes within 2 to 4 days. During the first month it is not effective and from the next month, it works successfully. besides, if you quit taking this pill, the contraceptive effect will end. Women who have symptoms of diabetes, hypertension, or who are over forty and smokers should refrain from taking oral pills. Moreover, taking this pill could bring sides effects, such as vomiting, headache, and liver spots and raise the probability of breast cancer.

At last, there is emergency contraception. It is post-contraception that can be used when one has already had sexual relation without any contraception and which one doesn't want to become pregnant. One can purchase it with a medical prescription, and it is effective only when one takes it within 72 hours after sexual relations. However, not all people who take the post contraception can avoid pregnancy because the failure rate is high, and some side effects are severe. Thus one should think carefully before using it.

Contraception has become mere developed, but there are still people who get venereal diseases because they don't use it. The typical diseases are AIDS, Syphills, and Gonorrhea. In addition to these disease, there are Herpes that is transmitted to an unborn child by its mother, Chalmydia which is a common and dangerous disease, and Gonorrheal urethritis which is a common disease in advanced countries. Most of these diseases are severe and sometimes, incurable. Thus, it is necessary to know of contraception in order to minimize problems caused by sexual relationships. However, the first thing we should do would be to improve our ability to make a prudent judgement and mature sexual awareness.
