According to the annual survey of educational program and its effectiveness conducted by the Joongang Daily Newspaper, Jeju-NU was judged to be 5th best in the nation in educational conditions and environments, according to comparative evaluations of 102 universities in the country.

As shown on the accompanying table, the top five schools in rank order are; KAIST, POSTECH, Seoul-NU, Catholic University, and Jeju-NU.

Maximum score for the evaluative ranking is 90 points.

In complimenting the 5th rank in education conditions and environment, the newspaper noted that Jeju-NU filled all its faculty positions by successfully recruiting 31 professors in medicine, law, and other disciplines during the last calendar year, and hired additionally 29 faculty members this year.
