The Center for Journalism and Media changed its name into Newspaper & Broadcasting Center.
To minimize the confusion that comes from the name of the center and to maximize the effectiveness of the work, this change was allowed in the council held on May 9 and finally announced officially on May 15.

Through this change, it is expected to be a better university Newspaper & Broadcasting Center, dealing with the fast changing reality around the campus and being more specialized in journalism.
The press center works as a mass media organization in Jeju-NU, publishing both Jeju-NU’s newspaper and English newspaper as well as broadcasting.
Not only in the area of mass media, Newspaper & Broadcasting Center does its work on cultural areas, holding a film festival and hosting Baek-Rok Novel Award.
