The College of Humanities of Jeju-NU was selected as the managing department of Humanities Week with support of the Ministry Of Education and National Research Foundation of Korea. The purpose of humanities week is to understand the current situation of humanities and dream of the future. This event was held based on 'Communicate hopes to the world' during five days.

Opening day was based on 'remember' touring divine places to reinterpret traditional culture of Jeju and understand life of our ancestors.
The topic of Day 2 was 4.3, including literature and a visit to historical sites related to 4.3. The literature focused on healing hearts through living together and peace (reconciliation).

On Day 3 a symposium was held, where researchers talked about the current situation of humanities and the humanistic identity of Jeju . This symposium extended the invitation to not only researchers but also all attendees of Humanities Week.

Day 4 took an opportunity to understand and respect both culture—through visiting Halla Mountain to heal alienation—and cultural deprivation for both multicultural families and foreign workers.

The closing day, based on well-being, took time to understand the meaning of well-being. including cultural contents, well-being food,  and a walk on the olle-road of Jeju-NU on campus.

Lee Chung Won (Department of History, 4) said about this Humanities Week, "I think Humanities Week is very beneficial to me, but unfortunately the attendance of students was low."
