The foreign Advisory Committee Forum was successfully held in the 2nd building of Provincial on Nov. 18.

During the forum, Jeju-NU Mongolia student, Nyamsuren Davaadorj, made a fantastic speech of representing all the foreign students in Jeju.

Davaadorj has lived in Jeju for about seven years, she pointed out three commonly encountered problems,

summing up her experience and others’ recommendations. First, she said that students, in order to cover living expenses or school tuition, have poorer academic performances. Second, she pointed out that because foreign students lack Korean society information and the basic knowledge about Korean law that in case of an emergency, they only passively accept or assume responsibility. Third, she said that foreign students were limited in understanding Korea resulting in many students graduating only to go home or even dropping out of school.

Through this forum, Davaadorj said, "Thanks to the invitation of the Government Provincial Office, it gave me the opportunity to participate in such a good discussion. I hope the government of Jeju can help us solve these problems, so that we can better carry out our student lives."
