English Learning Center lectures in the Social Science College have closed. The lectures were started in 1995 in the Social Science College. Those lectures are separate courses in the college. Conversation was the main course, divided in two levels; beginner and intermediate. Enrollment was capped at 12, and 110,000 won was needed to take that class. In the Department of Public Administration, those classes were required for graduation.
The English Learning Center pointed to the “difficulty in managing due to decreased numbers of students” as a cause of closing. The classes could have been run only with the Department of Public Administration students, but the registration number was too low to open the classes.

Since the English courses are closed, the graduation criterion is under consideration in the Office of Academic Affairs. The result will be announced to students.

Kang (student of Department of Public Administration) said, “That classes were quite a burden for me. Classes were separate courses so that I couldn't earn credit from that; however, I enrolled for that class since that was a graduation requirement. That made my school timetable so tight. Also, the classes were recorded as P/F (Pass/Fail), so some students came only to get the ‘P’ from those classes.”
