As part of the festivities that used to be part of the normal university life of JNU, the previous issue of The Islander highlighted the return of the International Food Festival. This time, we are putting the spotlight on the Culture and Art Festival for International Students, aptly named as “Homecoming Day.” In previous years, the festival was a way of getting to know different students and their respective cultures through performances in the field of dancing, singing, instrument play, or fusion performances. But with the intention of getting more participants this year, the Office of International Affairs has opened it up to any type of performance, with special emphasis on K-pop dance and song performances. Up to 10 different teams are expected to participate, with performances that last around 6 minutes. Each will compete for the price of 300 thousand won for the first prize, 200 thousand for the second, and finally 100 thousand for the third. Aside from these prices, each team will be invited to the Nanta Hotel Buffet the day before their presentations.

The Festival will take place on the 15th of November in the Ara Muse Hall. Do not miss the opportunity to get to know people, get to know different cultures, or admire the talent of your peers!
