Students are preparing for the finals on campus, especially at the library. Even though the library is open 24/7, most of the city buses stop operating at 10 p.m.. This makes students who live far away from campus difficult to study more even when they want to. To prevent this scenario from happening, JNU is expanding the operation hours of the night bus two weeks prior to the actual final exam period.

The night buses’ time expands every two weeks before the main exams; the midterms and the finals. For this semester’s finals, it operates every day from December 7 to 21. There are no extra fees and departure from the bus stop in front of the Central Library entrance. It consists of five different routes, while the buses stop at about 70 places where students generally live. Operating time of the buses are at 00:05 a.m., 1 a.m., and 2 a.m.. Between December 7 to 11, the bus will only depart at 00:05 and route 2, 4 will not be available. After December 11, it will be until 2 a.m. but each time has different operating routes so checking out the timetable beforehand is a must.

Numerous students use the night bus at each exam season. It does help with the dilemma they have with the transportation at night. However, the night buses’ routes do not offer a variety of options. This makes the students who are living near the unpopular routes like route 2 and 4, which does not depart at 1 or 2 a.m., having no choice but to ride the first night bus only.
