The 3rd Asia-Pacific Young Leaders Forum, Jeju took place November 9th. The Forum was held from the 9th to the 10th at Cheju Halla University Halla Convention Center. The forum highlighted youth experiences in civil society, and they gathered to form a consensus on common global issues and discuss sustainable development and peace implementation. In line with the purpose of the forum, youths from various regions participated in the forum overcoming the far distance that Jeju presented. During the forum, many sessions were held about Jeju’s peace, environment, and jobs along with several booths related to the same subject. The conference dealt with the recent emerging topics in the global society, such as MZCO(MZ+ECO) and the New Normal era. Besides the general sessions, event sessions were also held. Audiences could participate in these discussions and get some souvenirs as well. Also, JDC, the forum’s host organization, recruited supporters to ensure the high-quality of the forum. The supporters were made up with the Youth International Ambassador, the Youth Steering Committee, and the Youth Promotion Committee. They took part in sessions as youth representatives, ran booths related to topics, and produced SNS management and card news to promote the forum. Despite these efforts, previous forum participants said that it was a shame that the sessions were not run smoothly due to the lack of communication between participants during the forum’s session preparation process. It was difficult for just one person to take charge of each sessions without any advice from anyone although three other experts participated in the session. It is hoped that this problem will be amended and will receive positive reviews from people in the future. Meanwhile, the forum was held simultaneously online and offline for a high participation rate.
