The service of the school bus with a circular route around the school has been discontinued. Last year, buses ran to and from the dormitories and the main gate every 20 minutes from 8 to 11 p.m. on weekdays. However, this year, this service was suddenly stoppedwithout any previous notice. As a matter of fact, at the beginning of the semester some students were seen waiting at the main gate in vain because they thought the bus was still running. This became a point of contention in the school community, as people often asked questions about the suspension of the bus service.

Many students believe that the nocturnal bus service was related to a policy made by the Student Government Association. However, this was originally a project of the Student Life Center Administration, which is separate from the Student Government Association and the Dormitory Autonomy Committee.

In addition, last year's bus service was not a service meant to have regular operation. On the contrary, it was only a "pilot" operation. According to the administration, the number of students who actually used the bus was very low because many students were not aware of the service or did not feel the need for it. In addition, the cost of bus rental has increased several times since the COVID-19 pandemic ended and tourism resumed. As such, the administration's position is that the program was canceled after the pilot due to a lack of both demand and budget.

However, voices from students who want the bus service to continue have not stopped. But at this point, as previously stated, at this point it is not feasible to operate the night bus again. A lot of changes need to be made to the system in order to make it feasible for regular operation. It is time to think about different options for its possible success, such as actively promoting the program so that many students know about it or collecting a small bus fee from passengers to raise funds.
