On November 25th, the 11th JNU Presidential Election was conducted using an online voting system for the first time.
The three candidates were as follows: Professor Kim Eel- Hwan (Electrical Engineering), Professor Park Gyung-Leen
(Computer Science & Statistics), and Professor Kim Hee-Cheol (International Trade). They engaged in three debates, which
were on the 11, 18, and 23 of November.

Professor Kim Eel-Hwan received the most votes, which was 387 votes (54.5%) out of a total of 710 votes. The other candidates, Professor Kim Hee-Cheol and Professor Park Gyung-Leen had 275 votes (38.73%) and 48 votes (6.78%) each. 

The two top-ranked presidential candidates are recommended to the Ministry of Education and the final appointment is made by the President. The term of the 11th JNU President is four years, starting on February 21st, 2022.

On the other hand, the JNU Student Council Presidential Election was conducted on the 18th of November. Yang Woo-Seok (Account i n g , Senior) and Kim Joo-Hyeok (Computer Education, Senior) ran unopposed, receiving 3,414 votes (85.6%) out of a total of 3,987 votes.

The election campaign team 'WE' will be the 54th JNU General Student Council. 'WE' means 'up' in Korean, and their slogan is "Together, We Go Up". More information can be found in https://wearejnu.imweb.me/.
