Jeju-NU made an agreement with KOMIPO (Korean Midland Power Co., LTD.) on Aug. 17. They signed for building solar energy power plants on 18 buildings' rooftops in our campus. With a 4.7 billion won budget, the construction will take about a year. KOMIPO will cover all the expenses.

After 15 year's of maintenance by KOMIPO, plants will be donated to Jeju-NU without any cost. While KOMIPO manages the plants, rentals will be charged on the company.

One of the Jeju-NU's staffs said that "KOMIPO is covering all the expenses on this project and Jeju-NU is just providing places for plants. We expect that we can reduce electricity costs when we manage the plants ourselves.
