Jeju-NU announced on Aug. 29 that it was selected as a ‘2012 fusion designed university promotion enterprise, which was conducted by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and the Korea Institute of Design Promotion.

Jeju-NU is going to receive funding of expense, a maximum of a billion won for the next five years. Jeju-NU planned to push forward ‘green tourism fusion design university promotion’, specialized industry of Jeju and characteristics of the university.

Moon Yeong-Man (Prof. Faculty of Industry Design) will be the leader and five colleges (College of Art & Design, College of Economics and Commerce, College of Education, College of Engineering, College of Ocean Science) and six departments (Multimedia Design, Business Administration, Tourism Management, Computer Education, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering) are participating. Jeju-NU explained this business will contribute to Jeju's design service enterprise and green tourism fusion design specialists training. Ten universities applied for this enterprise but four were selected including Jeju-NU.
