At the election of 9th Presidential Nomination Committee on Nov. 13, incumbent president Huh Hyang-Jin ended up most votes (26 votes), followed by Professor Doo Cheol Kim of the Department of Physics (10 votes).
The Presidential Nomination Committee is comprised of 36 intramural voters (faculty, staff and students) and 12 extramural members who cast the ballots for the first round of voting.
According to the established protocol, the committee sends the top two vote getters to the Minister of Education for an eventual pick of the 9th Jeju-NU President by the Minister and the President of the republic.
